It is reminiscent of a Vitamin Cottage out in Boulder. Some food and lots of vitamins/household items. Pretty neat place. They also will order for you whatever you would like.

brookeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-63901436725216765452009-02-27T16:19:00.000-05:002009-02-27T16:19:00.000-05:00I buy all my essential oils on ebay from a company...I buy all my essential oils on ebay from a company called wholesale essential oils. I keep cinnamon, clove and sweet orange oil on a candle warmer all the time. My house always smells so good and people who stop by always comment on it. This company has free shipping on all oils after you pay for the first one. Hope this helps!Henleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01530792055409978543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-91260270298634598912009-02-27T14:51:00.000-05:002009-02-27T14:51:00.000-05:00Ok, well obviously I need to try the ACV/honey com...Ok, well obviously I need to try the ACV/honey combo. I had heard about using local honey in Colorado (about how it may help with allergies) and we did buy local honey in CO. I'll have to find a local place around here....any suggestions??? Usually someone knows a lady, or a family, that sells it off their front porch kind of thing (what we did in CO)....so let me know!

Honeycomb? I believe my friend Brooke mentioned this place (maybe), but I'll ask around. As to these places:
"Health Food Store at the Range Road outlets, or the HFS on Lapeer in Wadhams" - again, I'll ask Brooke, as I believe she gets some of her more holistic stuff locally.

Thanks ladies, I really needed a kick in the pants to get myself going, I guess. With these icky sinus infections, PLUS all the info you ladies have shared, I have no excuse not to get myself some of this preventative/more natural methods.

THANKS~
Lori

p.s. Eucalyptus candles? Sounds wonderful! I'll email ya, and we'll figure out a time to meet up (if you happen to come to PH, great, otherwise, we'll meet somewhere - you aren't that far away!) Thanks again~ Btw, what kind of business do you have that sells these types of candles?? ~L.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12295189090047887816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-28341465353679588172009-02-27T11:21:00.000-05:002009-02-27T11:21:00.000-05:00usually all thats in the packets is about a teaspo...usually all thats in the packets is about a teaspoon of salt... mostly just to make it not sting.

ive had more luck with the squirt bottle type that have a bit of pressure than with the regular netti that just uses gravity.... especially when things are already irritated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-91258879460804770872009-02-27T11:20:00.000-05:002009-02-27T11:20:00.000-05:00usually all thats in the packets is about a teaspo...usually all thats in the packets is about a teaspoon of salt... mostly just to make it not sting.

ive had more luck with the squirt bottle type that have a bit of pressure than with the regular netti that just uses gravity.... especially when things are already irritated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-71061691095523403232009-02-27T09:31:00.000-05:002009-02-27T09:31:00.000-05:00Oh, and the honey really works for allergies and s...Oh, and the honey really works for allergies and sinuses. I use it every day for mine, and have come off my daily allergy medications. The key is to get raw local honey. The more local, the better. It will have a lot of the same pollens and so forth in it that you'll be exposed to in your area.Saved, Not Stupidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00946978949462354705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-67085177948998110982009-02-27T09:30:00.000-05:002009-02-27T09:30:00.000-05:00My husband uses the neti pot. We get ours at Meijer and it's around $10 and comes with packets of the stuff you dissolve in the water.

As for purchasing EO's, the best place I've found locally (I'm in Goodells, about 15 minutes out of Port Huron), is either at the Health Food Store at the Range Road outlets, or the HFS on Lapeer in Wadhams. They are helpful and have a great selection at both places. If you want a eucalyptus candle, just send me an email, and I'll drop some off to you for free. I believe you are roughly in the same area as I am. I have several customers who swear by eucalyptus candles for their sinuses.

CheleSaved, Not Stupidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00946978949462354705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-84341644536330572072009-02-27T09:01:00.000-05:002009-02-27T09:01:00.000-05:00I do the acv + raw honey too, when I can think of ...I do the acv + raw honey too, when I can think of it. (Drink it, don't put it in your nose.) :) (You need the raw, unfiltered brand of ACV, too. Braggs carries one, with the natural "mother" in it.) I've always thought that was just to naturally improve your health, or your ph levels, and the honey is to improve your body's resistance to allergies...so in some sense it should help with sinus issues. You can get the ACV in your area at that natural foods/health store called Honeycomb (At least I think that is what it is called. E-mail me if you need more info.) You can also get the essential oils there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449051049141540270.post-47007339853753638762009-02-26T22:21:00.000-05:002009-02-26T22:21:00.000-05:00HI, I JUST GOT IN ON THE SINUS DISCUSSION. HOPE IT HELPS. BTW: IT IS SOMETHING TO DO EVERYDAY, NOT JUST WHEN THE SINUSES OR ALLERGIES ARE BOTHERING YOU. IT'S THE MAINTENANCE THAT DOES THE JOB. :)

*MY SISTER ALSO SPRINKLES A BIT OF THE MIX ONTO PILLOWS WHEN THERE ARE REALLY BAD SINUS/ALLERGY PROBLEMS....WHICH OF COURSE HAVE TO BE WASHED RIGHT AFTER. SHE SAYS IT HELPS HER LITTLE ONES SLEEP MUCH BETTER ON THOSE RARE OCCASIONS THAT THEY'RE HAVING BAD ALLERGIES.

HOPE I WAS ABLE TO HELP A BIT! HOPE YOU GET YOUR SINUSES ALL HEALED UP!! AND CONGRATS ON THE NEW BABY!! :)jesnicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09507944560076614238noreply@blogger.com
