My Birthday Gift~

Ok, well, my birthday is technically a few weeks away, but my mother bought me an early b-day gift while she was here for Christmas.

I got a labeler machine (or whatever you call those things).

It all started with organization. I began using my old coffee containers to hold basic education materials, such as: scissors, washable markers, glue sticks, etc. Yet all my old coffee containers were exactly the same color/shape/size. So here I was, flipping open container after container, just trying to find the kids' safety scissors. Ugh.

Solution: Label Maker!

My mother had also recently got bitten by the organizational bug. She had purchased a Label Maker for herself and loved it! She offered and I jumped at it!

It took me a few days to get the house back in order, but now I have begun to tackle some of my organizational projects with my new Label Maker. Here are the afore mentioned red containers, all neatly stacked and labeled and SO MUCH easier to practically use!!

Now, what can I label next???

I would LOVE to get one of those!!! For now I print it off the computer! LOL But at least I can make pretty colors and/or pictures. ((trying to make it seem like NOT having a cool label maker is not that bad! LOL))

Yes, It is a Dymo. I'm happy that it is helping you keep things easier to find. I know I love mine.

Love,
Mom

You really did go all out with the label maker! Are you finding that it helps now that those labels are on?

I know what you mean about wanting to put the # of children you have in God's hands. I feel the same way. It's a hard call figuring out what to do when you've had so many c-sections. How does your doctor feel about a 6th.? Mine was fine with the idea (too bad my husband isn't).

Are you a homeschooling mom too? I just noticed Alpha Omega on the side of your page. We use Horizon's math and have liked it a lot.

I definitely find it easier with the labels, at least with the red containers, which are all alike. I also like the idea that most anyone could now step in for a day or two and find what they needed in that crazy closet!!

And yes, we are a homeschooling family! I have a 1st grader, a K, a preschooler and a toddler (plus the upcoming infant). Thus far, most of it for us has been very basic, focusing on lots & lots of reading & phonics, fitting in other stuff here and there. It's been fun thus far, my children *love* "school" and learning and I pray that continues as they grow.

As to the c/s stuff, my hubby is fine with more babies, as long as my doctor is okay with it. He trusts the OB to talk to us about the risks and the condition of my uterus after each c/s. He would not want to risk my life, so we would stop if the OB felt it was unsafe to continue. So we continue to simply take it "baby by baby" - with lots of prayer!!
