One good thing in August...

I am *not* a summer gal.

I know, you're shocked, right?!
Well, it's true ~ it's hot, sticky & muggy.  August....ugh.

Yet this year, with a garden, I'm getting lots of tomatoes.  So I guess that's one good thing in August.
But just one.

This year I'm gonna try to participate in the NOT Back to School Hop @ Heart of the Matter.  It's for all you hs'ers out there to share a bit about how you are preparing to start up school again (or, if you school all year round, just a bit of where you are right now - just a time to share).

Not Back to School Blog Hop

Seeing as how I'm still waiting to purchase some of our curriculum, and I've got one last minute decision to make regarding the kids handwriting/spelling/phonics stuff....well, we'll see how this goes....;)

So if you have a garden ~ enjoy those tomatoes.  If not, I'm sorry.  Hopefully August will pass incredibly quickly....with lots of A/C!!

I'm so with you on the summer thing...and have blogged plenty of whining about it. Even wrote a silly poem. Our tomatoes are starting to ripen too! Here's to fall...

Awwww I LOVE Summer... ok all seasons.

I love Summer-- those Summery dresses, FLIP FLOPS, trips to the beach, FLIP FLOPS, swimming in our pool, FLIP FLOPS, hiking, FLIP FLOPS (did I mention flip flops?), shorts, gardening, etc. awesome!

I like summer...in the beginning. That first trip to the beach, the first time at the splash pad, the garden, the flowers, watching my kiddos in the sprinkler....

Yet by August, I'm *done*! No one really wants to go outside anymore - humidity makes it all miserable.

Thanking the Lord that I live in a place with four wonderful seasons! I could just do without the last month of summer & winter....but I guess that's what makes me love fall & spring so much, right?! ;)
