"Selah, will you please go check on the baby."
"Yes, Momma"
I hear her talking to the baby - then I hear her start to sing to the baby (what a doll!). She is actually reading her favorite book to the baby "Jesus Loves the Little Children". You sing the familiar tune but each page is a different "group" of children (i.e. the mountain children, the island children, the desert children, the small town children, etc.).
As she is singing, I hear her suddenly stop and say...
"oh, no, baby Elijah, don't make that face. Oh no, oh no, it's okay baby, Selah is here, I will sing to you"
(at the top of her lungs - I'm guessing to drown out the now screaming baby Elijah)
JESUS LOVES THE DESERT CHILDREN, ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD!!!!!
*needless to say, this somehow did not comfort my screaming child. Go figure.
But what a sweatheart is my daughter. She mimicks so many of the things I do with the baby. She's just going to be the best Momma!!
*Michigan Momma*
p.s. Talitha, on the other hand, was just trying to chuck toys and books into the crib. I guess it's the thought that counts, not the bruises...*grins*

Hi Lori,
I hope that you are doing well. How is the eating thing going? Mine is going OK. It was a lot easier when I was 20 and single to lose weight! I have been praying for you.
