Oh, my goodness! I love it! I burst out laughing as soon as I saw this! I feel your pain sister, I feel it. I may not have children, but I worked in daycare for 3 years, and I know the horrors of play-doh. My children will never know what play-doh is.
Are you scared at all for your 5th.? 9 C-sections?!? Wow! I have WAY too much anxiety to try for that many, not to mention my husband would never go for it :P
Thanks for checking out my blog! There is so little information for mothers expecting a c-section that isn't set with a negative tone. I plan to write more about c-sections for moms wanting more info., but haven't decided what topics to run with yet. If you have any ideas, let me know! : )
Morgan, I'm surprised ~ you come across as so confident and calm on your blog about c-sections! I would not have pegged you as someone who is anxious about much of anything!
As to being scared, I'm not scared now, being 7 months preggo. I'm a bit scared about the surgery, yet by then, I would already BE in the hospital if there was a problem. At that time, we'll see how my uterus looks, how much scarring there is, adhesions, any "windows", etc. Then my dh and I will have lots of praying to do regarding a "next" baby....
One of the things I would like discussed is how a c-section *can* go pleasantly. You can have a fine surgery, a good anestesiologist (sp?), minimal scarring, healthy baby, good nursing experience, a healthy bonding time, etc.etc.etc......you just have to go in prepared. Talk to as many c/s mommas as you can so you know what to expect. Just one example: The shaking is *normal* and it doesn't have to be considered awful. Lots of moms shake during transition during a vaginal birth, and lots of moms shake after a c-section from the meds. It happens, it's okay, it goes away.
All we hear is the negatives - I can see why women need to know the negatives, 'cause it's better NOT to have a c-section if you don't have to. Yet for those who DO have to, it's not an automatic *horrible* experience that makes you feel like a "failure" or somehow "less of a mom". Come on....
Anyways, could go on and on and on about c-sections......nice to "meet" you and glad you stopped on by~ Lori

Little boys and playdough...not a good combination.

How about non-washable markers? Yes, the smelly ones are fun, but they DO NOT come off tables, clothes, or even preschoolers' hands!
