Essential Oil "Carrier"

Hello~

So, as I was reading the back of my new essential oil packages, it said NOT to put directly onto skin - instead to use a "carrier" (that you mix the EO into - it gives the ratio).  So what "carrier" do you use with your EO??  I don't have the listed oils (sweet almond, coconut) and was just wondering if I might have something else on-hand that would work, or if I needed to run by the HFS one more time....

Thanks for all your help through this process.  I am fairly EO ignorant, apparently......oh well, I'm learning~

Hi Lori,

You can use olive oil as a carrier. Actually, that's really moisturizing too. If you cook Chinese food a lot, you probably have sesame oil. You can use that too, if it doesn't conflict too much with the aromas you have going on right now. I'd go with the olive oil though. That's what I use in my brown sugar scrubs.

Yes, that's right. Olive oil is fine.

BUT...a lemon/eucalyptus oil is fine to put on your skin. (Might need a carrier for the kids...) The oil companies just have to say that. Peppermint would be hot - so might want a carrier oil for that.

Not much longer, Lori!

Holly, One more question for you:
I read on my Beeyoutiful.com catalog a warning on their Eucalyptus Essential Oil, that pregnant women were *NOT* to use it. What is the reason behind that warning, if you know??
Thanks Holly~

And yes, not much longer, we are officially ONE WEEK AWAY! I have each and every day planned so hopefully it will all pass by quickly! I'm honestly going to TRY to enjoy every last moment~
