Spring Cleaning - Entry Way "AFTER"

**for more info, the BEFORE pics, or to see how to join us in this "Spring Cleaning" - go to my first Spring Cleaning post HERE**

I rearranged the way the cubbies were set up - here is a place for shoes, plus a place to sit down.
You can also see my 5-gallon buckets stored in a the corner (flour, sugar, etc.)

Ok, here are my "AFTER" photos of my entry way.  The entry way that most everyone uses is called our "mudroom".  It is a small room, right off the entrance from the garage - it actually used to be a laundry room.  It is a space where all the children crowd into when they first come into the house, discarding coats, shoes, papers, hats, mittens, lil' trinkets, you name it!  It was VERY uninviting, to say the least.  I just didn't have "time" to make this an inviting space....

Here is a shot from the doorway.  It just looks so much more inviting!

...a few small wall hangings I already owned...

...a basket for those odds-n-ends....a picture for asthetics...

Thankfully, I went ahead and jumped on board this Spring Cleaning adventure.  I finally took the time to make this room look nice.  No, I didn't spend a dime (although we *are* going to be buying a few good, solid hooks for adult coats here soon - the cubbies aren't really designed for adults), I just rearranged things, discarded the junk, added a few nice touches that I already owned...and...viola!!  A nice mudroom that I am more than comfortable for guests to come into~

...a small basket....a pretty vase....white eyelet....a wonderful view...

I didn't do much here, right outside the mudroom, but I was able to declutter the corkboard.
I do believe there are even *more* pictures on the door - Selah just had a birthday, so we had birthday pictures to display!

Thanks so much Sarah for hosting this "Spring Cleaning"!!
