**this is from Spunky Homeschool ~ for Teacher Appreciation Week. Keep up the fantastic work, ladies! It's hard, sometimes really, REALLY hard.....but totally worth it!!
What is a Teacher?
A teacher is someone who can....
....Give a hug without getting arrested.
....Bandage a knee without calling the school nurse.
....Change a light bulb without called the custodian.
....Make the children wash the bathrooms without union approval.
....Have a relationship with the principal without getting fired.
....Teach a child's mind while capturing their heart.
....Teach what they believe in and believe in what they teach.
....Meet the child's needs and not worry about meeting state guidelines.
....Commit to a lifetime of work without pay but receive rewards that last a lifetime.
....Pray in class, out loud, with the children and the ACLU can't say a word.
There is only one that can fill that job description...
....A teacher is a mom.

A word to the wise: Do NOT get started reading SpunkyHomeSchool late at night. You just get sucked in, reading all sorts of interesting facts & opinions & comments - then you get mad, then you smile, then you're back to mad again, then you laugh......it's ridiculous!!!
Seriously though, take a minute when you can (NOT late at night) and read some of her thoughts. Interesting~
