The Challenge is...

umm........challenging.
My mother is visting, I have four sick kiddos, and well, my motivation just isn't kicking in.
Today, for example, ALL four kids slept in until 10am - yes, I said TEN am.

Not exactly the "up by 7am" goal I had set for myself...

What else?? Well, I totally ate after 7pm. Heck, I didn't have my *dinner* until after 7 at least two nights this week. My schedule just kinda falls apart when my mom is here (not her fault, things are just relaxed when she's here), so this is A LOT harder than I anticipated.

SO anyways, even though *I* started this whole challenge - I guess *I* really need the encouragement and accoutability. How about a daily check-in? How about an hourly check-in?? (ok, maybe that's a *little* extreme). I think I'll check in at 7am(here on my blog), just to have a bit of accountability in that area. I'll also check-in at 7pm (if possible) to cement the notion that I WON'T be eating after that point.

I did get two new videos: Pilates for Dummies and Yoga for Headaches. These are just checked out from the library for a week, so we'll see how they go.

I hope to be checking in with you ladies much more from now on. Please feel free to post about your challenges in your blog and then let us know here in the comments. Also, if you need accountability in a particular area, want a one-on-one accountability partner, just need prayer RIGHT NOW, etc.etc.etc. We have to be transparent and let each other know how things are going and how we can help each other.

God be with each of you ~ I know He loves each one of you and wants the VERY BEST for you!!

Lori, I hope you cout yourself some slack with your sick children and your mom visiting. ( read her blog too, I think she's great!) Sometimes we are our own worst critics. Just do what you can do. That's it. I just posted on my blog aobut the challenge and I was not very honest for the fact that I cannot seem to stay out of the h@lloween candy. We do not recognise h@lloween, but I love those little packs of candy! I was not completely honest about that on my blog, and i will go back and fix it asap.
I made a big pot af vegetable soup and I have been eating that off and on for two days. It's nice to have for a snack on these cool days. But I miss the garlic cheese biscuits I usually make with it!!

I'm so sorry your kids are sick. I feel phyiscally ill when my kids don't feel well. In fact my son (age 20) called me from florida with bad cold and cough, and i've been feeling sniffly ever since.
Keep pluggin' away! Thankfully colds are temporary!

Lori,
I know how hard it is to stick to your plan when your schedule is screwy. With my being sick, we've lived off of fast food and TV dinners for the past week. NOT the healthiest choices, but thankfully I haven't felt like eating all that much anyway.

I definitely wouldn't be complaining if the kiddos are sleeping in until 10AM. I'd be celebrating! Mom must be keeping them very busy.

Love you and just keep plugging away.
Shari

hang in there girl! Pray hard! The accountability is a good thing. I was recently led to a tough accountability partner. I'm working on excercise and planning ahead for meals and stuff so that I'm on track...not just eating whatever. I'm being held accountable for prayer as well. God will honor your efforts!!
Love ya!

Lori,

I know that this would mess things up...but don't be afraid to start this all over again next week. I mean, really...company AND sick kids? It's no big deal to start again.

((hugs!))

Well I haven't been doing great either. I've been drinking more water and taking my supplements, but I've been dipping into the leftover ice cream from birthday etc. Last night I finally decided TODAY I will eat more fruits and veggies, because I haven't been eating any at all for a long time! Terrible- 70% of my diet was raw fruits/veggies...so I've eaten an apple and some veggie soup so far :)

Sick kids make everything stop!

Just wanted to drop in and say I am up a pound. I am going to go bang my head against the wall, maybe that will burn a few calories. Sigh. Tomorrow is another day!
