Crumpled Foil

My husband walked in while I was baking up a quick Wednesday evening meal (before church).

He kinda cocked his head and asked "What are ya doin'?".

See, I had read somewhere that in order to evenly bake things like french fries, chicken nuggets, meatballs, etc. a good idea is to line your basic cookie sheet with crumpled up aluminum foil.

I'd never heard of that.

But with our frozen meatballs, it really does work - if you happen to buy the ones that have some...um....extra grease that comes off as they bake - that greasy-ness ends up in the nooks & crannies of the foil - and *not* on your food. And your french fries really do end up evenly cooked, withOUT burning them on one side.

So that's my tip for Kitchen Tip Tuesday - hosted over at Tammy's Recipes.

Anyways, just give it a try next time. Lightly crumple up two sheets of foil, line your cookie sheet and bake away. An added bonus is the easy clean-up!!
