Just to be abundantly clear,

regardless of my strong feelings from last night (when I honestly thought I was going to lose whatever supper I had been able to choke down), I do have hope. I will be praying ferverently for this new President Elect. No, he is not the man I voted for - yet he is who our nation has chosen.

I have fears, reservations, and great sadness about the whole thing - yes. Yet I know God is sovereign and that is enough.

That is not to say I will *ever* stop laying out the truth on my blog about abortion, about how precious life is - at any stage. Obama will be our new president, yet I will never agree with him on this issue (unless the Lord changes his heart so completely, as only our Lord could!!). It saddens me to no end to realize what this decision says about our country (pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-government invasion in our private lives). So while I will support the office of president and the man chosen to fill it ~ I will continue to pray and speak out and raise my children in TRUTH!!

I'm guessing that's all I'm gonna blog about this election (we'll see). I know right now I am EXTRA devoted to training and raising my children in TRUTH, as I should always be, but this has really driven it home for me.

Now on to more domestic duties: I've implemented a "penny system" - I'll talk more later....
Resting in Him~

Good perspective. I too am disappointed by the results, but I am committed not to give President-Elect Obama the same treatment that President Bush has received from the left over the last eight years.

I didn't take any offense to your view on young Christian voters.:) I read that 75% of first-time voters voted for Obama. I completely agree with you. God is in control. Even though I did not vote for Obama, I will be praying for him every step of the way.

Speaking of truth, lets lay it all out there.

Every Republican President since Roe v. Wade has declared they thought it should be overturned. Not ONE of them has done anything about it. Now I'm not sure they COULD do anything about it, but I've also wondered if they are playing games with the religious right. Declaring their position against legal murder while in public then snickering behind our backs. We can be mindless sheep sometimes. So can Obama supporters. :?)

Just trying to be honest with myself and my questions regarding politicians in general.

Love you sis! May God help us to love these hurting young girls as He loves them. That's the only way things will really change....cause, as I heard today, the abortion rate is just as high in countries where it IS illegal. How is that possible? And what does that say?

Questions perhaps too big for my brain to ponder.

It is so pathetic that our nation just seems to want to fornicate.

Amen, sister. I couldn't agree with you more. I, too, have "fears, reservations, and great sadness"... But I read Daniel chapter 4, and Phil. 4:8, and that helped me remember who is really in control. It is God who sets up kings and takes them down. I am resting on that promise. That doesn't mean it will be easy, or that BO will make good choices for our country, so there may be more sadness to come. Phil 4:8 ~ Phil 4:8 ~ Phil 4:8 We have to keep our focus in the right place.
