Old habits die hard

I don't have to do laundry all the time anymore.

Amazing!!

It used to be, our W & D was always going. It would take HOURS for a load of towels to get dry! There simply wasn't enough time in the day to get to all the linens, curtains, all the extra stuff you really *should* wash occasionally.....I was too busy trying to keep up with just our clothing!

But with our new W&D, I'm walking aroud the house LOOKING for things to wash. I'm asking people to take off their clothes, so I can wash them!!! (ok, that was just my husband after he had set up the swingset and he was all gross and sweaty....I wasn't asking company to strip, just so you know!).

I'm beginning to realize that I can occasionally NOT be doing laundry. Wow. I might even be able to skip a day or two. Amazing. I can get a LOT more into one load, plus the dryer is SUPER-quick! If you are a larger family, I would STRONGLY urge you to save up some money, somehow, and purchase a new model W&D ~ it is TOTALLY worth it!!

**and the family closet/laundry room idea? BRILLANT!! Whoever first thought of this was genius. Even my dh is praising this idea! Again, if you have the space, go for it! It just cuts down on the time spent doing laundry, putting things away, gathering it from all over the house, etc. We have better things to be doing with our time ~ like lovin' on all those babies!!

Speaking of which, time to go nurse my lil' one.....I love this age~

Ah, the family closet thing never appealed to me. Maybe because we have a small family. Our w&d are on the second floor, so the children just bring their baskets to the laundry room. I do 1 person's laundry a day. And that person brings their basket that morning, and at the end of the day, they pick it up! It works for us.
