Did you hear that Razor was struck by a car & killed? It was simply awful. Isaac & I cried about it again tonight, just a little cry....
Then we decided it was a good time to go visit Kit-Kat's new litter of kittens!
Yup, you read that correctly! Kit-Kat, our adorable lil' barn-kitty-turned-beloved-pet had a litter of 6 cute, adorable, sweet, precious lil' kitties.
The day after Razor died.
God's timing is amazing!!
I never wanted Kit-Kat to get pregnant in the first place. I didn't want to deal with the "mess", the hassle, the finding-them-new-homes part, etc.
Yet now, my sad, sad children - who have experienced great pain from death - are now experiencing the awesomeness of God through new life! WOW!

One more thing, Kit-Kat has amazed me with her "Momma Kat" intuition. She knows *exactly* what to do. She is nursing them like a champ! She has them on a nice lil' routine and they are getting along fabulously ~ and ya know what? I'm pretty sure lil' Kit-Kat has never ONCE read a "how-to" manual written by the latest, greatest cat-nursing expert! Nope. Not once.
God made us human Mommas with our own set of instincts & intuition to boot! He created our bodies to KNOW what to do. Now, I'm all for experts & calling out for help when we really need it ~ but in many situations, we are not accepting of the God-given abilities we already have. If we could simply trust ourselves, our bodies, our thoughts & feelings.....
Yet we live in an "expert knows best" society. How could we possibly do ANYthing on our own? We need the experts, the professors, the learned to guide us through life, right?!
HOGWASH!
You, Momma, are the BEST Momma for those babies of yours! That's why God gave them to YOU!
Love them, bless them, enjoy them!!
‘Cause I’m the Momma,
~Lori

What a wonderful, uplifting blog you have! Found this when you followed me on twitter -- now I'd like to follow here, but don't see a way to do it!
So sorry about Razor - I had two beloved kitties die in my arms and I still am saddened years later. But the kittens! How wonderful!
Looking down thru your posts, I found the one where your daughter crocheted a capelet -- so cute, she did a great job! Had to ♥ it on Etsy!!
Awwwww.... God is indeed in control! I just put my baby cat of almost 17 yrs down on Thurs. Still a lil sad. But I'm at peace w/the decision. I think if I hadn't just watched my mom die in hospice 9 months ago I think this would have been a 1000 times harder!
Hugs to you and the kids. It's hard. But it does get easier!
